as far as the actual question i agree with the consensus that you are close and just to be cautious. we had farm trucks that we towed things that far exceed the GVWR although fairly, that was at very low speeds.
I can not say for the Ford or anything after 2011. But prior to 2011 both Dodge and the GM trucks had the same axle and brakes on both the 2500 HD and 3500 trucks. I believe Dodge and GM even used the same rear axle but may be wrong on that.
