2 1/2" to 2" adapters

Its a 2014 GMC 2500 (new to me) no adapter with it. I looked at the Reese website, no mention of this restriction. Its a Reese adapter also

My Chevy came with an adapter as well, but no where in the manual or the sticker on the hitch states the rating is de-rated when using the adapter.

As part of the new trailer deal, I did negotiate a Reese Titan 2.5" shank. I still need to swap out the shank as there was a mix up with it coming in on time. So not report of actually using it, YET! Lol

What "Callcajun" said. Same as my Chevy 2500.

Don't know why it states that on the adapter. I have the same set up on my Ram 2500 truck and 31 foot TT with WD hitch. So far no problem or sign of stress or wear using the adapter. My truck came with the adapter and no such warnings.
