When I needed tires my local dealer had some older Maxxis in stock that he tried to sell me. I held firm and within 3 days he had a fresh set of Maxxis for me.
Probably he is trying to unload what he has in stock..
I am hearing rumblings about the "new" Carlisles, but I'm a show me guy and will wait awhile.
