I take it that Dodge has full time hubs from looking at what the mod does, correct or did I miss understand
You are correct, full time hubs, and vacuum actuated locking. The device keeps the vacuum signal from going to the actuator. With the device engaged allows one to fully engage the clutch while backing at a reasonable speed.
MMMMMM Guess that is why I have a Ford with manual hubs and x-fer case. Its easy to go 2low.
My Ford also had the manual hubs and transfer case but also had the nice 6.0L POS which is why I got rid of it. Now had it had the 7.3L I would likely still have it!
Funny you say that because the straw that broke the camels back on our 05 Ram was the 4x4 wouldn't engage. We unloaded it about 2 months later and replaced it with a 7.3 PSD Super Duty. My wallet doesn't get harassed anymore. :B
Fish, did the heater quit working about the same time, and it smoked a lot out of the draft tube??
If so someone got a great Ram because of a loose vacuum hose!
