- Sjm9911ExplorerJust to add, its good to have a ladder with you just incase. Especially if you have slide outs. You never kbow when or if you need to clear stuff off the slides. This is less important if you have toppers, but you still may need to check /fix stuff on the go. Some get the telescoping ones, i got a folding one that fits in a vinyl fence post attached to the bumper. Hope you find the leak.

Nope. I do all mine from a ladder. 7.5 feet wide. - B-n-BExplorer IIIFor what it’s worth my TT didn’t come with a ladder either. I had heard the theory it meant my roof couldn’t be walked on. I called Heartland directly and asked about walking on my roof. The tech replied it was no problem. He also offered there is no such thing as a “no walk on roof.” If there were, no RVs would have AC or vents up top. Also roofs needed to be walked on to perform preventative maintenance. Some RVs just don’t come with ladders.
After the phone call I proceeded to install 400W of solar, a fantastic fan and a skylight while walking on my roof. - Nv_GuyExplorer IIILow fan speed / restricted air flow and high humidity will cause icing / freeze up.
Also- as mentioned, no ladder = no walk roof. That's how the manufacturer tells you to stay off, so also as previously mentioned use plywood to spread the load. - afidelExplorer II

If it didn't come with a ladder then there's a 99% chance the roof isn't rated to be walked on, if you go up to inspect use a piece of plywood to spread out your weight over multiple trusses. - FLGupExplorerInside the RV remove the cover and tighten the 4 mounting bolts a quarter turn. The unit has more than likely vibrated a little loose and water on the roof is leaking in under the gasket. Don’t over tighten.
- Matt1221ExplorerI don't believe it froze over cause it only lets water out while it's running. We have let it set a couple hrs it spews water right afterwards.. now that I've done more research, it's most likely a stopped up evap drain tray or possible a cracked drain tray (worst case scenario)
- Sjm9911ExplorerCould be the gasket also, or it froze up and defeosted. You need to check it all.

- LwiddisExplorer IIRemember that “road time” and “sit time” are about equal for leaks.
