It's already been lightly mentioned, but my cousins kid (15) sleeps in the back ot the truck. It has a topper. He's been back there for 3 or 4 years now. He's claimed that spot and you can't get him out of there. Usually he has his buddy back there too.
X2
My parents back around 1970 bought a pickup truck with a "cap", the cap had a normal door (had to take the tailgate off).
Dad built a 6ft long "dinette" table which dropped to make a huge bed. The back rests of the dinette were on hinges and those hinged up and the help of a couple of pieces of pipe across along with the bottom dinette cushions made a huge top bunk.
6 of us kids plus both of my parents slept in the back of our truck for several vacations at 3 weeks each.
Even took a trip to Florida (boy that was hot) with that same setup.
OP HAS a truck big enough to to their current 5th.. Why not get a cap, put a roof A/C unit on the top and make put a couple of cots in there..
Seems to be the lowest cost and even the most simple straight forward solution.
OP NEEDS to forget about finding a total hardsided trailer with the 20ft TOTAL length restriction AND having the capacity to COMFORTABLY sleep six.
If the OP doesn't believe me, then I would suggest the OP create a "mockup" outline of a trailer using the box size of 8ft W x 17ft Long (the max inside dimensions) in their yard or garage.
Mark out in string or chalk the outline then try fitting in two full size beds plus say two twin bunks. Try fitting one queen size, one full size and two twin bunks..
If you don't have the place to play with a full layout then get some quarter inch graph paper use 1/4"= 1ft scale and cut out beds and other furniture to the same scale and try placing it all within the trailer.
Then add in full bath, kitchen and storage..
I think if the OP sat down and really thought about it they will find that no matter how much you play with the design it isn't all going to fit in that size.
You could manage to fit all those beds in a empty cargo trailer without the bath and might have some room for a kitchen with sink perhaps..
Like I mentioned before, I OWNED a 20ft TT in the past, that trailer was 23ft end to end and the box was 20ft long.. It barely had enough for a full bed, and two twins. If the bath was removed then there would be enough space for several twin bunks..
At 17ft long box, there simply is no room for all those bunks plus a full bath...
