GVWR is 11,000 lbs. Curb weight is about 7,000 lbs. So, is it OK to go over the pay load by about 500 pounds?
In the truck camper world it is difficult to NOT exceed the GVWR and get the camper that you want.
Whether it is OK or not is a question only you can answer for yourself. Some people will say it is not OK, but then they end up with a much smaller camper than they were hoping for just to stay under GVWR.
Often we just go by individual axle ratings, which typically gains 1500-2000lbs on a SRW, and 2000-3000lbs payload on a dually. See for yourself. Empty the truck and head to the scales. Weigh front and rear axles separately. Look at your tire and loading information sticker to find your RAWR. You should have 5000lbs+ of payload capacity on the rear axle, which is where 99% of the camper's weight ends up.
