Megacab longbed conversion

With lumber racks or load extenders off the the receiver, I have not had problems transporting long stock. However, UTV's or dune buggies are difficult in a short bed without ramping them up and over the cab.

If you want a real challenge try hauling 16' lumber with a short bed.

Fiat RAM added 10" to the interior of the Crew Cab trucks. More leg and seat room for the rear passengers.

I had a 2008 D RAM 3500 with a Ranch Hand grill guard that would fit in my garage. My 2013 RAM 3500 would not fit in my garage with the grill guard.

I love the extra space - but I never sit in the back anyhow.

OK, I know, its short v long box. Does my absolute love of the Mega-cab mean anything??????:? I do really, REALLY like that cab configuration.

Honestly if you look at the mods others are doing wheel, tires etc that price isn't to far off, you can get the stretch done for between 3-6k depends on a if you supply the bed or not...

I am thinking about getting a regular cab F-350 dually and 208" wheelbase. Then install a long sleeper cab from a over the road truck, and make it into some sort of camper, and still able to tow a large fifth wheel! It would be a 92" stretched Super Mega Cab! With captains chairs for at least 6 and a wheelchair lift and room for at least 2 wheelchairs too! I am still on the sidelines about a tiny bathroom or not? Perhaps just a sink and small hot water heater or heat exchanger from engine heat to warm the water.

And then install a 6' long (or so) bed on the back, with minimal overhang from rear axle to bumper. This way I can mount the fifth wheel hitch at least 2" in front of the rear axle, and still have clearance between the fifth wheel and bumper. . . .

There are a great number in the cummins forum screaming for just that, and there are a couple companies doing that after market for 30k lol I saw a 6 door 5500 30ft long monster...
