I hope parts aren't going to be an issue (I don't think they will). I have a 2005 8.1L with 33k miles and plan to keep it a long time. So far I've had the oil pressure sender fail and a MAF or MAP (not sure since the code was either so I replaced both).
It seems age is harder on the sensors than miles/cycles. The truck is in a heated garage a lot of the time when not in use.
