Your right Dreeder get a diesel isn't advice that helps me. I love and have owned diesels for 20 years but sold my 2006 1 ton and 5th wheel and now own something my new budget can afford. For 5500 lbs a 1/2 ton should be fine but figured a 3/4 ton Hemi wouldn't break a sweat. From my calculations for the tire size increase it put the gears at about 3.50 from 3.73. I am thinking 4.56 gears would be needed to haul any significant weight with slightly larger tires on this truck. Cost of swapping out gears in front and rear diffs just not worth it. Probably cheaper to get a different truck. Just surprising cause the truck runs and shifts flawlessly when its empty.
