The payload is fictional number generated for legal purpose.
The way I see actual capacity is
rear GAWR of 7230 - 3460 on the rear = 3770 can be loaded on rear axle.
Per member experience above -about 300lb of short camper will go on the front.
Making total 4070 lb including people.
