Yes, hail damage does hurt the resale value and only you saw how bad the damage was and how much siding would have to be replaced to make it look like new again. The aluminum siding itself isn't expensive but the corner molding, if it needs new, is and so are the Lance logo's and color strips if they need to or are replaced, not cheap. If a repair place were doing the work at the over $100/hr rate, it sure wouldn't be cheap. I think you're saying the hail damage is a real eye sore and that's different.
