I got 17.7mpg over 1000 miles non towing at 70-75mph and over 20mpg for 200 miles 55-60mph. The 1-ton vans with 6.0L/6-spd/3.42/2wd seem to get about 1mpg better highway. Our normal mixed commuting is more like 13mpg, 12-14 weather dependent. There is potential to get reasonable FE for what it is pushing. However, gas is cheap for now so I wouldn't worry much about the difference between 12mpg and 13mpg, or 15mpg and 17mph highway which is not the bulk of miles.
