2004 explorer vs. 91 F150 with 4.9 six

I would much rather tow with the old 150 I-6! I'm not sure what gear set yours has, but the I-6 had a lot of torque, and at a very low RPM.
I had a new 88 with the 300 six, and 3.55 gears/standard 5-speed HD tranny. It was a great truck!
