The fact is, a cup of sand and a cup of water will not fill a two cup measure and some repeat over and over that it will. Basic logic suggests that Ford knows what they are specifying all the time or none of the time. Only on Internet forums can we have it either or both ways. GVWR is just as valid as Front axle rating, hitch rating, tire rating, or whatever. At the very least, it is not helpful to say otherwise to people who do not know everything there is to know about tow vehicles.
