Roy Ken - WNYBobExplorerI've seen posts where they have fabricated an angle iron between, and under the jacks. This was done mainly to reinforce rotted jack corners.
So do a search here, maybe you can find an answer. - jimh406Explorer IIII'd talk to Arctic Fox. Are you using a Stable-Lift? I suppose it could be binding and not lifting straight up.
- Ski_Pro_3ExplorerWow! That reminds me of the Flintstones closing credits
I can just imagine parking that rig on a side hill, slide-out on the low side, and the thing tipping over due to soft dirt or something.

I can't see how Stable Loads could have any effect on a TC.
Our 2007 Arctic Fox 1140db has severe convex bowing under slide out! The Stable load system only supports camper in between the dual ram slide assembly . As camper has full wall slide ,when off truck causes upward bowing of camper under slide-out.No cracks to filon exterior.Camper has no other issues (water tight,NO delamination.). Removed Happijac electric jacks; not up to task of such a heavy camper.DRW setup , properly installed.Help. What should I do?
StableLoad FAQ
If you mean stable-Lift, I suggest you call the company.
Wayne - KKELLER14KExplorer IINot to hijack the thread but RoyB, that is a 990 wet bath layout. Either way this should be something you all check. The 1140 and 1150 are even bigger with larger slides. I have owned both and I have some advice for todsme...try and follow me here. Get the camper on a level surface and open the slide about an inch to take the pressure off the seals. Now using your jack control, run the rear jack on the slide side independent of the rest up and down slightly...maybe an inch or two. Look up at the top corner of the slide out. There should be NO deflection of the main frame and the slide...if there is any racking, you have a broken frame. It sounds if to me the weight of the frame is being deflected to the lower frame. Be super careful as you will damage the fillon eventually or it could and will delam. Ask me how I know this? My 2006 1140 broke the frame and did exactly as you describe. They had to remove the entire slide to repair it...no joke I'm not making this up. It is aluminum and can flex quite a bit. Mine was deflecting a good inch or so before I caught it. Lucky for me no further damage...give this a try and get back to us...good luck!
- burningmanExplorer IIIt sounds like you mean Stable-LIFT, not Stable LOAD.
Assuming that... what you really need is a little custom work. You need some steel running the length of the camper to bridge that slide out opening.
It doesn't matter if you have the camper in perfect condition, putting all the weight on that section under the slide is going to bend and/or break it eventually.
I've added some steel to my Stable Lift, so that the lift also ties to the front and rear corner jack brackets. It's that white piece of rectangle tube you see running up the side of my camper. I made it so it bolts on, so it can be removed for whatever reason. Even that flexes a bit. I'm gonna beef it up a bit more this spring.
This is ultra simple fabrication, if you don't weld just go to a local welding shop and they can fix you up good and stout and it shouldn't cost too terribly much.
Ignore the stout cocktail sitting on the lift. - Reddog1Explorer III think it makes no sense for us to guess what todsme has. We can guess and get to far off from his issue. As we can all see, he Joined: 06/24/2006 . My point being in all likelihood he knows how to post photos and can clarify what he is working with. Be it Stable Loads or Stable Lift he is referring to, we need clarification.

- BedlamModeratorThe StableLift supports the TC by the wing structure verses the corners like a conventional jack. I cannot see how this would be good on any frame with slide outs.
You can replace the weak corner jacks with Rieco Titan models used in later Arctic Fox models. HappiJac also has higher rated models used on the current Eagle Cap double and triple slide TC's.
