- Reddog1Explorer IIThe OP has made no posts after the first one. Isn't responding kinda like talking to yourself? Especially when you need more information?
Wayne - burningmanExplorer IIReinstalling your corner jacks is an OK emergency step, but I think in the long run just adding some rectangle-tube steel from your front jack brackets to your rear ones won't add any more weight than the jacks would. All I did was weld some angle iron to each end and bolt it on where the jacks bolt on. Then you transfer a bunch of the weight to where it's designed to be.
It's my opinion this is a good idea no matter what condition your camper is in. - AnEv942NomadI think I might reinstall the rear jacks to help support weight when offloaded, at least until a fix is applied. Still use the stablelift for raising and lowering.
Never occurred to me using stablelift on a slide wall-but makes sense, the bowing, all the weight rearward being applied in the middle. Few if any full wall slides or even partials have any real structure under slide. - tmartin000Explorer II

here - Reddog1Explorer IIjimh425, I missed the OP asking for opinions on how a Stable-Lift looks.
hedge, I will accept you have no experience with it. Perhaps you would ask more questions, and make fewer statement on the subject.
Additional off topic post will be deleted.
Folks, the OP post:
Our 2007 Arctic Fox 1140db has severe convex bowing under slide out! The Stable load system only supports camper in between the dual ram slide assembly . As camper has full wall slide ,when off truck causes upward bowing of camper under slide-out.No cracks to filon exterior.Camper has no other issues (water tight,NO delamination.). Removed Happijac electric jacks; not up to task of such a heavy camper.DRW setup , properly installed.Help. What should I do?

- hedgeExplorerI have no experience with it, it just seems to solve a problem that doesn't exist for me. With my wireless remote I honestly can't see how it could be improved upon or made easier. It looks like the stable lift also needs a level spot to unload which I don't need for my jacks.
Maybe if I had a bigger camper I'd have some problem with the jacks but for now I don't.
Call it vanity if you want but yes looks are important to me, It's the same reason I could never drive a Dodge/Ram... looking forward to the body redesign so maybe they'll be back on my options list. I honestly don't give an inkling of what others think of me or my truck but I like what I like. - KKELLER14KExplorer IIWell I am all in for something that works well... and if it is affordable. - jimh406Explorer IIII think it's perfectly valid to make decisions based on how something looks. Of course, there are other examples such as the choice of truck and chassis vs pickup bed. Some like decals and some don't. I'm sure there are other examples, and that's ok.
- Reddog1Explorer III have had a Stable-Lift for over ten years. I can't think of a single problem I have had. This past year I had to remove it because I purchased a Dually. Initially, I was going to sell the Stable-Lift but after using my four hydraulic toothpicks I have decided to modify the lift to suit my dually.
For those Stable-Lift haters that trash the Stable-Lift, is the trash talk from experience or ignorance? I understand when someone is speaking from their personal experience, but why trash something you know nothing about? It really takes away from your credibility on this and other subjects.
An interesting post; "I also don't want to drive around with my truck looking like I drove through a kid's playground and the equipment is stuck under the truck." If you have the typical decals on your truck, ever stop to consider maybe people think your truck looks like you drove it through a circus and the banners stuck to the TC. My point is, each of us have our own ideas as to looks.
