Typically the EGR and oil coolers are replaced at the same time if there is failure in either because it is usually due to to blockage or contamination. The turbo should be cleaned if you get a coolant leak to prevent corrosion that will cause the variable vane geometry mechanism to seize or hang up.
I ran a ScanGauge II in my '05 F250. It allowed me to watch coolant/oil temperature deltas, oil pressure to the injectors and FICM input/output voltages. These parameters are not loaded on the SG when you buy it, but are manually programmable once you plug the SG into the OBDII port.
Three round trips through the Rockies and "too many to count" trips through the mountain ranges west of the Rockies with my 6.0 PSD loaded at 19K lbs GCW. I was always impressed with the stock tune and never modified it.
