Well you're spending more than a couple grand on interior if the truck is t bulletproofed already. Unless you're good with the time bomb the way it is.
You're right in that it's less worth selling compared to other vehicles so you're kind of driving a free tuck now.
Spend $5k on engine, 2k on seats plus however much more you expect to go in the next 50-100kmi?
So say you have about $20k wrapped up in your old truck between its value and repairs being the cash input or $20k down on a new/newer one?
Which do you want to have?
Think of it this way too. Do you want to spend half of what your truck is worth on fixing it up to have it be not worth much or apply that elsewhere?
