My Uncle would like his money back if someone is offering, because he only got 120K miles out of his 04 Cummins engine. And he really stressed that truck out by occasionally pulling a 26 foot Jayco.
The reality is machines break down, even with proper maintenance. Best thing to do is have a plan for when it happens, and mitigate your exposure.
No one does, but that doesn't discount the fact that your odds are ALOT better in ANY of the new diesel pickups and some of the older ones than in any 6.0 diesel unless it's been bulletproofed and meticulously maintained.
I'd call not owning a 6.0 mitigating my exposure!
