I recently purchased the truck in my sig. I have a short commute and around town I get 11-12 mpg. I get about 16 mpg when I go on a road trip unloaded. I haven't towed my trailer with it enough to give an accurate reading.
The truck replaced a '99 Suburban with a 7.4L engine. The 'Burb was lucky to get 12 mpg on road trips. I would get 10 mpg around town. When towing my TT, I averaged around 8-9 mpg.
Obviously, gas mileage is not important to me. I want to be able to tow stuff, so I cannot be concerned about the mileage I get.
