2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins - $11k for 200k miles?

Greetings all! New to the forums, new to the idea of RV-life, but eager to get started! I'll post an intro post in the beginner's forum later, but wanting to get some opinions here on a potential ...

Check the engine hours, easy to do - check YouTube for a how to.

Start the engine and remove the oil cap. Cover the oil fill hole with your hand (or your hand in a rag/paper towel). If there is excess blow by, that's where it will come out. That will indicate a worn engine.

Spend $100 or so and get it checked out at another shop. Areas to focus on are the front suspension & steering and the transmission if it's an auto.
