@gritdog - Great comments! I agree - 2WD (esp on a big truck) is pretty rare here. But given the weight/payload rating on the 2500 (esp on a Megacab), I think I'd actually prefer the 2WD. Hadn't thought about using that as a negotiation tactic!
My 2007 5.9L Cummins Megacab 4x4 had 2700# payload.
In regards to the engine hours, less is better. Low odometer reading and high hours = lots of idling. It's just something to look at. When I sold mine, it had about 5000 hours on it and ran perfectly, had never had a wrench touch it. I flushed the coolant, changed the belt and rad hoses once. It had 115,000 miles on it when I sold it.
