I put 125K troublefree miles on a 04.5 LLY then gave it to our son and bought a 2015 Denali LML.
While there are differences between the various engine designations, personally I'd go for the truck in the best condition, and best maintenance, and not worry about which engine it has. The LLY has more than enough power to tow most anything it is capable of towing, The 6 speed will give a mileage advantage when running empty.
IIRC the LLY has 315HP IIRC, the LBZ, 360, the LMM, LML 397.
