Yes.. they did. But chevy is changing now and I think doing really well. There was a 5k difference in them up till a year or two ago, and that was stock.
I think Dodge is hitting the heavy market now...towing up to 30k on on one of the transmissions now. That's a lot (Aisin I think).
Just to clarify, I was trying to answer the questions with reference to the dated trucks (OP was asking about a 6.0) while giving some reasons for our choices (which, as with most of us, has more to do than just one component). Obviously all the makers keep changing/improving, etc.
The majority of RV's in our category (TC's) are served fine by all three. But when you get into the 30,000 + gross category, the options limit quickly for longevity.
