With the number of 6.0 PSD's that were sold, I would not surprised if there are still more running the the same year Dodge and GM (no, I don't have data to back that up other than observations when traveling). I will not deny that this engine had issues but I also feel many of the issues were due to owner modifications or improper maintenance.
My engine is completely stock and running well under severe duty cycle maintenance since new because it's rare when my truck is not at or over 19,000 lbs GCW.
Remember that most of the quotes people throw around from Ford employees about how bad the engine was when they were in court trying to give IH the blame. They put the engine in a bad light to try to win their side of the argument. There is plenty of finger pointing between the two companies for who is blame and the haters are selectively picking points to support their views.
I am surprised that a moderator would make such a strong statement that reveals his emotional bias on the subject and encourages more brand bashing.
