I have known a handful of people who have owned the 6.0. NOT ONE still has the truck, or has ANYTHING good to say about it. Two went on to buy the 6.4. One got rid of it after numerous issues, the last being a check engine light where the trouble tree said "replace engine," and the other had to have the cab removed to actually replace the engine. I would never even consider the 6.0 or 6.4 given what I have heard from these acquaintances.
The shame of it all is that the interior and body of that vintage Ford is probably the best of the big 3, but the diesel engines are not up to snuff.
