Congrats, Bedlam, and I'm happy you like your truck and have had good service. But you're a statistical outlier. The numbers don't lie. Ask any Ford tech about the 6.0 or the 6.4 and you'll get an earful. Another thing I forgot to mention is the farmer I talked to who did a buyback with Ford on not one but two 6.0 Powerstrokes, then bought a 6.4 Powerstroke and lost the motor in that one, then bought a 6.7 Powerstroke which grenaded at 25,000 miles! And get this- the guy went out and bought another 6.7 Powerstroke! Hahahaha. You've got to love it.
I am happy people drive 6.0's if they like them. Have at it. I used to be called a GM fanboy because that's all I'd ever drive in gassers. When I went to diesel I went to Cummins powered Rams because Cummins is a company which makes one thing- engines- and they know what they're doing. They power OTR trucks and have been doing it for decades. There was a bad run of blocks in the late 90's, "53" stamped in them- stay away, but other than that they are like an old mule. The trucks themselves were not as nice as a Ford inside (until 2010 when they upgraded), but they are the most reliable. I don't care for any of the new diesels with the DPF. I had a 2012 Cummins but sent it down the road due to abysmal mileage.
