Don't even think your Cummins is close to what they drop in a class 8. The only thing they may have in common is filters. You do not have an OTR engine in your Dodge unless you also have that 12K lb front axle...
I do not have brand loyalty - I feel that each time I make a purchase, the best vehicle for my purpose gets my money. I see too much change in brand offerings and quality between purchases to ever make a blind choice without giving all a chance. Just for example my motorcycles (listing auto brands would take too long): I have owned two Hondas, two Suzukis, one Kawasaki and one Chinese brand that is no longer imported (Tank).
