Easy guys, if I wanted to have an e-dispute over which truck is better, or argue about the 6.0 being a good engine I would go to a truck forum. I said facts, I gave my opinion. It's ok for you to have yours, but don't try to change mine.
I could ask the same of any Dodge owner regarding their transmissions.
We could certainly have many discussions about the shortcomings of many different Dodge transmissions because that is a subject worth noting, but that's not what this thread is about now, is it? If somebody came on here and asked about a stock Chrysler 47RE transmission being suitable for hauling a heavy 5th wheel trailer, and a plethora of 6.0 Powerstroke owners chimed in that the transmission was woefully inadequate from the factory for the task, I would join right in as the owner of such transmission and agree. What you would not find me doing is desperately searching for a way to bash Fords, or their owners. So the question is, why are these Ford guys so sensitive?
restlessways,
You have stated your opinion along with a couple of others. How much longer are you all going to carry on and add nothing to the OPs questions. I'm sure the OP has read what you have stated and will take it all with a grain of salt. But now it is time to give it a rest.
Just to let you know I had a 6.0. A 2006 F550 that I special ordered because at the time there was really nothing in the same class. I know GM was building a medium duty but if you wanted a 4X4 it was way higher than I wanted. I paid way more attention to the people that stated the sky was falling and sold my truck after really taking care of it and adding a coolant filter. The fellow that bought it is still running it and thanks me for selling the truck to him every time he sees me (till I moved).
Excuse me? You are trying to silence me? Nice try, but I will say what I want. If you don't like it, don't read it.
