Because I'm going to use composite material, the problem I may encounter will be the 14ft piece across the top. The composite manufactuerer does not inventory pieces that long and it would need to be a special order $$.
Would anyone have any ideas that would help me facilitate making this as two pieces? I understand the use of the one piece because of the leverage weight in the cab-over bunk, but if I could butt-joint or lap joint two pieces, can I make it strong enough for my wife and I and the ocassional 100# black lab?
PS-I will be editing the print above because I inserted a wrong dimension. It wasn't a mis-measurement but a typo.
