2006 Hallmark Ute rotted wood repair
I'm going to start off my first post by saying I've been perusing this site for sometime, and have learned a lot...espcially lubing Happy Jacks. My wife and I have had this Hallmark Ute for a year....

Wow-that first picture answered my questions.
Holding back the MDO or other product from edge-possibly some simple Zbar flashing? That would tuck under the siding flange, covering exposed edge, wrapping MDO. Id still preseal the edges, but after panels in place the Z flashing the final seam would be on the bottom. Could be stapled but due to buckling Id use const. adhesive.
Be much easier to caulk.
