2006 Hallmark Ute rotted wood repair

I'm going to start off my first post by saying I've been perusing this site for sometime, and have learned a lot...espcially lubing Happy Jacks. My wife and I have had this Hallmark Ute for a year....

I took AnEv942 suggestion and just removed the rotted area and then stuck a piece of 3/4" under the wing. I didn't get the MDO but instead used marine grade plywood. The MDO was too expensive to have shipped up here. I made the patch with 1/2" marine grade. I coated both pieces with two coats of acrylic paint...being sure the end grain and cuts were well sealed.
