2006 Hallmark Ute rotted wood repair
I'm going to start off my first post by saying I've been perusing this site for sometime, and have learned a lot...espcially lubing Happy Jacks. My wife and I have had this Hallmark Ute for a year....

During my research prior to the rebuild on several forums, there were many that said if marine grade plywood was to be used anywhere, be sure to seal the grain with acrylic sealer. When I went to Menards, I looked at every available option I had and this exterior deck sealer with acrylic is what I choose. It was originally clear so I had them tint it black so I could use it to repaint the base also.
Was this my best choice...I don't know. It's not all that difficult for me to keep an eye on it each year and to re-apply another coat if needed.
