2006 Hallmark Ute rotted wood repair

I did not have the need for an air conditioner at the time. I cut a piece of plywood to fill the square hole, fastening it to another larger square of plywood. I could drop the smaller square down from the outside of the roof, and the larger square sat on and screwed to the roof. I used eternal bond tape and covered and sealed the entire piece of exposed plywood.

I routered a spiraled groove in the smaller square to allow the wire to be tucked up out of the way. The wire IS disconnected from the power box.
