2007 Cherokee 28A plus travel trailer - $9900

Hi all,

Looking to finally purchase a used camper after being without for a few years. Girls have finally gotten big enough to camp.

Specifically looking at this 2007 Cherokee 28A plus (has 2 slide outs). I know NOTHING about the Cherokee brand and I'd like everyone's input. Sellers are asking $9900 which seems ok, but he said he has some room for negotiation. Haven't looked at it yet in person, but plan to this weekend. Layout is perfect for us and from the online pics, it looks well-taken care of.

Can I get anyone's valued input on the quality/reliability of these trailers? Any issues to look out for? Fair price for this unit, etc.

Thanks as always,
Justin

  • Thanks for the info. Issue with NADA for this particular trailer is they don't have the option for the 28A plus with 2 slides, so it's tough to get an exact value. Thanks "Dodge Guy" for the feedback regarding the Cherokee line up.

If anyone else has any experience or advice, pls share!:)
  • Price is highly subjective. I don't know much about the brand but the price seems reasonable if it were for sale here by a private seller for the age of the unit, 2 slide outs, etc.

Around here dealers would probably be asking for at least 13/14k maybe higher for that unit type if it's in reasonable condition.

Check the tires for the date codes. You will have to look under the vehicle as the date codes are usually on the inside facing part of the tire. It probably needs new tires, try to factor that into your offer.
  • We had an 05 Cherokee 28A (1 slide out). We really like the Cherokee line. had no issues with the Lite. I wanted the 28A+, but it weighed more than I wanted to pull with my conv. van. and I couldn`t get the rear storage with the second slide out. We like it so much, we bought our second Cherokee a 32B.

Just look it over real good for water leaks (as with any trailer).

    Good luck!
  • Go to NADA's site and fill out all the particulars for the TT you're looking at. That will give you a ball-park figure on its worth.
