Going to take my 2007 LBZ to the dealer for P2563 code, Turbo vane control sensor problem. Going to see what the dealer says. I've been doing some research on the problem. Some say change the sensor and no fix. Some say change the selenoid and no fix. Some say don't bother with the time and money to do the above when it might be the Turbo. Thinking $400 for the sensor, then $400 for the selenoid or should I just change the Turbo for $3000 and get the sensor and selenoid free if that's the problem in the first place. History of the LBZ says it's going to be the Turbo. Mileage is 54K. Not going to be happy one way or the other. Why in the world does the Turbo go out at 54K?
Maybe just buy a code reader and clear out the code and continue running until it finally dies. I guess I run the risk of going into LIMP MODE and have to tow it down a mountain or some remote campsite and pay again.
