2007 Fleetwood (Replacement) Roof ?

What were the replacement/warranty roofs made of, for those Fleetwoods that had warranty work done by FTCA. I had the roof replaced under warranty, but I don't know what the original roof was versus the warranty roof. They definitely look different (in texture).
  • My father in law has an 03 or 04 Coleman. The roof appears to be abs plastic to my untrained eye.
  • Did he have it replaced under warranty some time after Coleman no longer had their name on them, after they were bought out by FTCA, between 2007 and 2010?
  • I believe the warranty replacement roofs were skinned with aluminum, specifically AlumiTite.
  • That makes sense to me just based on what it looks like, but wasn't sure.
  • FTCA warranty replacement roofs were usually based on the material in use for the current year when the claim was made. ABS was done by late 2003 in favor of the Alumitite design (raised ridge seams hidden under black rail caps). That design was replaced in (I think) either 07 or 08 by the seamless Filon (fiberglass) design.
  • Thanks. Can you tell by texture? My stock roof was textured, my replacement is not.
  • Not sure what you mean by that. I've only owned the Alumitite version, the other two are book knowledge in my head. The Aluminum is obvious: look it over until you find a scratch. If there is metal under there, it's the alumitite.
  • I meant my stock roof looked like textured plastic. My replacement roof is the same color but a smooth(er) finish, almost like a grey/silver Linex/Rhino lining.
