I had a fleet of Chevy HD trucks and then went to work for a company that had some Ford 6.0 trucks. I was really surprised how different they were. The Fords were louder, started harder, rode rougher, and handled worse than my Chevy dually I drove every day.
I don't think "bulletproofing" address problems like low battery voltage taking out the Fuel Injection Control Module or the fact that you have to use Motorcraft filters to get them to seal correctly in the housing. Or the need to run synthetic oil and still change it every 5,000 miles.
I'd pass.
