2007 Keystone Springdale M291

Hi,

I am considering purchasing the used rig noted above. I’m wondering if anyone has any experience with this rig or similar models from that year.

I am planning to have a tech inspect it, but would appreciate any feedback available out there.

Thanks, Cathy
  • We had a Keystone Springdale 236 (2006 model). It was a good camper for us (for a while, but the floor plan eventually did not work any more). Functionally, the camper served very well after some major and minor problems were fixed, we had the camper for a total of 8 years. It always towed nice, and maintenance on it was virtually nill!

In the 8th year of ownership, 2013 we traded for our Outback.

When we traded the roof was shedding a lot of white chauky stuff down the sides and onto the asphalt where it was parked at home. The graphics were all cracking up and beginning to look pretty bad. The aluminum siding was beginning to thin on paint on several spots.

We changed tires in the 5th year from the original Duro tires to Carliles.

Also in the 6th year, hail broke out the skylights on the roof. I had all 3 replaced, and the fan on the roof of the shower literally, crumbled. Had it fixed also with the skylight.

When we traded in the 8th year, it was a darn good trailer, except for the paint thinning. And if I would have treated and conditoned the room, I probably could have stopped the white streaking and the white puddles on the asphalt. But, the edges of the linoleum in some places started curling up. I did fix this before we traded to make it look better. Simple fix, I just installed 1/4 round around the edges.

Of course everything I just mentioned was very fixable and just part of having a camper and upkeep.

Over all, we were very happy with it.
