My 2 cents - for that fiver, I recommend a 1 ton (srw). You will exceed payload real quick with any 3/4 ton and a fiver with pin weight over 2k lbs. If you are shopping for trucks, you may as well buy one that will give you a decent safety margin.
I was towing my fiver with 3/4 ton but was over truck payload when loaded by 400 lbs, even though I was within the tow rating and gcwr of the truck . With my 1 ton SRW, I now have 500 lbs payload to spare, in addition to much better ride and handling. My fiver weighs in loaded at 12,280 lb with 2,400 pin weight.
