Wow this is nearly the exact change I did in 2009. I went from a V10 2500 dodge to an 08 megacab 3500 SRW. I pulled the same 5th wheel with both trucks and it is night and day difference. The V10 was good, the 6.7 diesel is awesome. I don't regret the change for a second. I brought my 08 Megacab new, I have had a few warrenty issues. In the OPs case, I would get the truck checked out as it is used.
