If your 2009 Sierra is like my 2007 Sierra, water gets on the top of the passenger side battery when it runs off the windshield.
If so, get batteries that are the same style as OEM. Mine have no caps on top that water can leak into. There are reports of batteries overflowing battery acid, which is caused by water getting in.
Just look around for the same style battery. My OEM batteries were made by Deka, East Penn Mfg. They have a smooth top with no openings. I found my replacements at NAPA. When I looked, ACDelco replacement batteries had changed to a different style.
