2010 dodge ram 2500 diesel.. laramie package

thing is giving myself and dealer fits over the O2 sensors and relays... we have changed out everything and every so often the ol check engine light comes back on..anyone here if there is some new software they can put on the truck... right now it is a guessing game... getting really frustrated .... any ideas?
  • With all respect, you might want to ask your dealer to check with STAR - there's a TSB out to take care of that problem. My 2011 incorporated that fix, and it's never popped a CEL for the emissions control system.

They actually have techs that frequent the forums and will help!
  • Tdr or cumminsforum will get great answers. However, you need much more specific info before asking for further help.
  • Get rid of it if you can...Mine 2010 was setting off a CEL about every other week. Fuel pressure sensor was my last thing that went. Paid the bill and drove it to a Chevrolet dealer. Don't know if it will be any better in the long run but so far so good.

  • Did the dealer check for fuel in your oil? Is all the oem smog equipment still on the truck?
  • What codes is throwing? When/How often does it do it? Are you running any sort of aftermarket chip/program? (Speedy, Bullydog EFI Live?)

Definitely go to the guys on Cumminsforum...they've helped me out many times. But they will want these sorts of specifics. Also, research if there is a non dealer diesel specialist in your area. Most dealers just want to throw parts at the problem rather than diagnose it. That's what I'm going through right now. I haven't had my truck for over 12 months....grrr
