A friend of mine has a 2011 f-150 and he bought a 28 Cougar fw. He had Michelins on it and I suggested that he get a heavier duty tire, as he was over weight with the tires (I think on payload for the truck as well). I introduced him to another guy I know that has been in the tire business for as long as I have known him (about 35 years). He suggested a Cooper tire that was the same diameter as what he had on the f-150, but had a few hundred pound advantage on the old tires and a 50 psi recommended pressure, instead of 44.
He took a trip last summer to Ca up to Wa then to the northeast and they performed flawlessly.
