I put E-rated Michelin LTX MS/2 tires on my 2011 F150 last summer. I don't know I'd do it again. The ride is a lot rougher, gas mileage went down a little bit, and the improvement when towing isn't significant. Meaning, I suppose, that I wasn't unhappy with how the stock p-rated tires towed, so any improvement with the new tires has been incremental.
Guess a lot of the ride quality rating is a personal preference thing.
Didn't like the Pirelli P's. Like my Michelin MS/2 LT-E's, like the crisp ride at 55-60psi even when not towing.
No mileage change but I did drop down from 20" wheels to 17" so little net weight change.
They seem to be holding up well. Rotate them once a year.
Haha, yeah, the ride is a bit 'crisper' on the E's. I've been running mine at about 55 psi as well. I hope that doesn't impact the wear on the tires, since that is the bottom end of the inflation scale.
Great tires, though. About 8k miles on mine, no apparent wear. Quiet, good snow and wet traction. I'm definitely putting a pair on my Suburban this summer. I'll probably go with the P or LT-C's next time, though.
