2011 F350 95k miles, 6.7 Supecrew, single axle

Limited service history, so planning on changing engine oil and filter, fuel filters, serpentine belt and maybe the air filter. 90k service recommends coolant flush, change trans oil and filter and change rear differential fluid. Local knowledge suggests leaving the transmission and differential alone as long as no leaks. Ten year old truck-long time for fluids...….
What about hoses and other soft stuff?

No way to tell on my new 1500 Silverado. NO transmission dip stick. It’s “sealed.”

You would be correct. But the thread isn't about your new Chevy, it's about the truck that the OP just bought yesterday that does have a dipschtick.

  • I'd say you're on the right track. Basically 100k miles, no service history, change every fluid and filter in the truck. And don't forget about the brake fluid and powersteering/hydroboost.

More importantly, how does the trans fluid look/smell currently?
  • Add : Serpentine belt tensioner, power steering fluid, brake fluid, if it has TMS...change the batteries, diff fluid as a min

    Synthetic everything

Coolant might be ok for a few more thousand, but while at it...why not

Lube/grease all joints with Stalube moly rich

303 all door seals and tires
  • I have a '12 6.7 with ~185k miles and I just recently changed the plastic IAC tube since they're a know failure point. Hoses don't need to be changed IMO. Also I would change the transmission and transfer case oil just so you know it was done. Rear differential could go longer if the fluid level it ok.

If that's a 2011 6.7 it is actually a 2011.5 which was the initial appearance for the 6.7.

The 2011 model year, which started in 2010 as is the custom in the auto industry, was the first for the 6.7.
  • Differential and Transfer case oil should be changed, radiator probably flushed, maybe transmission flushed and new fluid. Fuel Filters too. I have a 2012 and I'm going thru this maintenance this year.

    IMO local “loco” knowledge.
