Normal, I always lock out 6th when towing, even in florida. I mainly pull in 5th and sometimes in 4th. Let the 6.0 pull in those gears instead, and when u hit 3 k rpm it really wakes up.....overall a really good engine. No problems pulling the weight that your towing...
