It would depend at what point the particular TT mfg., weighs its trailer to get its dry weight. Some mfg.'s post a low weight to make potential buyers think they can tow it with smaller vehicles. That's why most people don't put a lot of trust in dry weights.
You will know you are towing a trailer of substantial size using a 5.4 and 3.73 gears. You are going to be able to get the job done but you will know it's there, especially go up hills. Having the right hitch of proper size and 'adjusted correctly' will make it ride best. If you do not have a trans temp gauge, i would install one . Heat will kill your trans.

Does the tongue weight add to the TV GVW or does it add to the trailer dry weight?
I read that you take your TV GVWR and subtract it by your TV GVW to see how much Tongue weight you can handle.
