Towed our 2017 Grand Design Imagine 2800BH home today with a 2013 Expedition EL w/HD Tow Package. The trailer is 6204 lbs dry and it towed great. No issues getting up to speed, even on slight inclines. and no issues slowing it down either. I had the TBC set to 5.0 out of 10. I definitely knew the trailer was there though, but that's considering the fact that this was the first time I've towed anything, ever. I don't know if the 2012 Expedition HD tow package came with the integrated brake controller but the mechanic that did the PDI with us had nothing but praise for Ford's brake controller and its ease of use.
I have The Prodigy P3 brake controller. Thank you for the update I will post whatever I end up getting once I get it.
